Voice, Piano

Jessica's singing career began at the age of six years old when she first watched The Wizard of Oz. When she listened to Judy Garland sing that famed song, she knew she had found what she wanted to do with her life. From then on, Jess started performing anywhere from nursing homes to Nickelodeon. She and her mother decided it was time to really start honing her skills by taking voice lessons. Over the course of 15 years, she has trained with a variety of voice teachers with vastly different perspectives and therefore has learned to see possibilities from every angle. She went on to attend the University of The Arts in Philadelphia on a "Promising New Artist Scholarship" in pursuit of her BFA in Musical Theatre.

Jessica has an extensive musical theatre background and has performed both locally and regionally in theatrical productions. So far, a highlight of her career was performing at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. Perhaps her most influential music teacher was David Jenkins, her music theory professor at The University of the Arts. David was an inspirational teacher to Jessica because he taught her that it's just as important to understand music as it is to perform it well. Now a teacher herself, Jessica implements that theory in her own lessons and ensures that her students can both read and perform their music. Her goal is to instill in them the knowledge and skills they need to excel in a musical career on all fronts. To achieve this goal, she teaches lessons that are equal parts theory and practice. Jessica loves teaching and connecting with her students, and is excited to watch each one grow as a performer.
