Mason Timberline is a dedicated and versatile piano teacher based in the Philadelphia area. His musical journey, which began at the age of six when he started studying classical piano through the Suzuki method, has led him to explore a wide range of styles. His versatility is evident in his ability to teach and appreciate various genres, including jazz, Latin, gospel, R&B, and pop.
Mason began teaching piano in 2019 as a high school sophomore, sharing his knowledge and love for music with students of all ages. He also performed jazz gigs throughout high school, further honing his craft. Although his pursuit of a degree at the University of the Arts was cut short due to the school's closure, Mason has continued to thrive as a pianist, music producer, and educator.
With experience working with students ranging from ages 4 to 60, Mason's teaching approach emphasizes both technique and theory, tailored to each student's individual interests and goals. One of his core objectives is to empower students with the skills to teach themselves, fostering a lifelong love for music and self-sufficiency.
