Bill Magerr is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who has been playing guitar since 2013 while picking up other instruments such as bass, percussion, cello, and violin along the way.
Bill graduated from Duquesne University in 2012 (Magna Cum Laude) with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, and has had experience teaching both individual and group lessons.
While focusing primarily on various types of Rock music, Bill also plays Jazz, Blues, Folk, and Classical. Bill has performed in many bands spanning a multitude of genres including R&B, Metal, Punk, Slowcore, Emo, and other alternative rock styles. Bill is still active in a few bands and has opened for some nationally known bands.
While Bill stresses the importance of reading musical notation and ear training, he also understands that students want to play the music they listen to, so he devotes some of his lesson time to teaching material that the students want to learn and using the material for teaching opportunities when applicable.
While he focuses on teaching beginning and intermediate players, he teaches players of all ages and he looks forward to helping you meet your musical goals.
