Autumn Skiles is a dedicated and passionate piano teacher with a lifelong love of music. Her journey with the piano began at the age of seven, igniting a flame that has since guided her career and influenced her teaching philosophy.

Throughout her formative years, Autumn was fortunate to have exceptional mentors who inspired and nurtured her musical talents. Under the guidance of Margy Barber in Chattanooga and Dr. Lynn Worcester at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, she honed her skills and developed a deep appreciation for music. Autumn's dedication led her to participate in local and national piano competitions, culminating in her qualification at the state level of the National Guild Auditions during high school. Her commitment and talent were further recognized when she was awarded the prestigious Dorothy Price Cobb Martin Memorial Scholarship by the Chattanooga Music Club in 2015.

In 2019, Autumn graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. During her academic tenure, she immersed herself in various musical endeavors, serving as a collaborative pianist, performing with the UTC Orchestra, and showcasing her talents in solo recitals featuring the works of renowned composers such as Schubert, Ravel, and Tan Dun. Additionally, she lent her musical expertise as the pianist for the Chattanooga Rotary Club, further solidifying her reputation as a versatile and accomplished musician.

For the past five years, Autumn has flourished in her professional roles as a piano teacher and accompanist. Her teaching methodology seamlessly blends tradition with innovation, as she continually explores new avenues to enhance the learning experience for her students. Embracing technology as a tool for advancement, she introduced innovative techniques such as online lesson notes and interactive forums, empowering her students to engage with music in dynamic and immersive ways. Moreover, Autumn goes beyond the confines of piano instruction, offering comprehensive music theory and history classes to ensure her students receive a well-rounded musical education.

Central to Autumn's teaching ethos is the cultivation of personal connections with each student. Drawing from her own experiences as a student, she understands the profound impact that nurturing guidance can have on a budding musician's journey. With strong dedication and empathy, she strives to instill a love for music in her students while fostering an environment of respect and kindness.
