Alize Rozsnyai, an operatic soprano "displaying profound imagination and control" (Philadelphia Inquirer), is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music with Bachelor and Master's Degrees in Voice and Opera, and is quickly establishing herself on international operatic and concert stages.

A passionate pedagogue, Alize loves teaching voice students of all ages and skill levels as well as beginning piano students. She specializes in the classical and musical theatre genres, and her lessons pay special mindfulness to musicianship and aural skills in order to empower students to have complete artistic authority over their music-making. Alize has served on the faculties of Curtis Summerfest, The Philadelphia School, and Soul Music & Performing Arts Academy in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and has also maintained a private studio since 2012. She served as an ArtistYear Fellow at South Philadelphia High School from 2015-2017, selected by her alma mater to build and implement a music program from the ground up, culminating in the performances of two full-length musicals: Dreamgirls and The Wiz, which she directed and choreographed. In addition to her teaching work, Alize is passionate about community involvement: she is a founding member of Philadelphia's Arcana New Music Ensemble, and in 2019, she founded the opera collective Alter Ego Chamber Opera, dedicated to championing female leaders and story-tellers in opera.

As an active freelance performer, this season Ms. Rozsnyai makes her debut with Opera Fayetteville as Zina in Dark Sister, and at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Harrogate, England as Phyllis in Iolanthe. She will also perform the role of Nicole in the world premiere of Jason Cady's Candy Corn with Experiments in Opera NYC. Addtional 2019 performances include: soprano solos in Hadyn's Lord Nelson Mass and Mozart's Coronation Mass under the baton of Gregory Geehern of the Princeton Festival; concerts in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and with Philadelphia's Arcana New Music Ensemble; and several world premieres of works in Philadelphia, NYC, and San Francisco, including the role of Zohara in Meira Warshauer's Elijah's Violin.

Recently, Alize performed at Carnegie Hall as soprano soloist in Berio's Sinfonia, and at the Kennedy Center in Schonberg's Pierrot Lunaire with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra. She has also held a multitude of leading roles in operas and musicals, including Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte); La Fée (Cendrillon), conducted by Christopher Larkin at the Trentino Music Festival; Blanche de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites, and Hilda in Elegy for Young LoversShe has appeared with companies such as The Cape Cod Symphony (Soprano Soloist in Carmina Burana); Princeton Symphony (Susanna in le Nozze di Figaro Act II), Den Nye Opera of Bergen, Norway (arias of Königin der Nacht), and the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Italy (Delia in Il Viaggio a Reims), among others. She is represented on the roster of Matthew Laifer Artist Management, and is a proud member of AGMA (American Guild of Musical Artists).
