Piano, Organ
Jerry Sardella is an exceptionally skilled piano and organ teacher with many years of music teaching experience. He enjoys working with all ages, from young children to senior citizens, and focuses on making lessons fun and educational. He has taught for many years in students’ homes, though also has experience teaching in various studios. Additionally, Jerry has conducted classes in his home school district for an adult evening school, instructing both beginner and intermediate piano students.
Jerry loves to perform as well. He has played piano in four and five piece combos in night clubs and restaurants throughout his life. He also had his own combo at one time, the “Jerry Sardella Quartet”. He has played solo piano and solo organ in clubs and social functions in the Philadelphia area, and thoroughly enjoys performing for others.
His approach to teaching focuses on making learning and practicing enjoyable, so lessons are tailored to the type of music in which the student takes interest. The curriculum structure includes learning how to read music notation, developing finger dexterity, and perfecting songs at the student’s level. If there is an interest in contemporary music, he is happy to provide an “easy to learn” approach through chords and accompaniments. Lessons in composition are also available.
Jerry believes that music should be in everyone’s life and that it is an easily approachable, fun, and gratifying creative outlet.
