Stephen Yee holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the Mason Gross School of the Arts, where he studied under legendary saxophonist and educator Ralph Bowen. In addition to graduating Summa Cum Laude, Stephen earned his honors scholar certificate with a 40-page thesis paper on jazz composition.
Stephen has taught students of all ages - from 5 year olds through adults over 70 - and of a wide range of skill levels. He currently offers classical and jazz saxophone and piano lessons, as well as flute, music composition, jazz theory, improvisation, and more. With an emphasis on learning by ear and creating specific practice regiments tailored to each student's strengths and weaknesses, Stephen is a fantastic fit for students of all ages and interests.
